Annual Meeting/election Coming, DOR Leaving…

More changes in the air.

It’s that time of year again when the residents of the Ritz-Carlton Boston South Tower will meet for the annual owners meeting and elect a new Board of Managers. The meeting will be June 7 th in the evening. Voting ballots should be arriving shortly.

And it looks like the bi-annual search will get underway for yet another Director of Residences as the current DOR , James Zaratin will be departing Boston July 1 and head west to LaLa land.

Will the new DOR  come from local talent or from the imported variety?  The beat goes on.

Dear South Tower Residents:

We have recently been informed that our Director of Residences, James Zaratin, has accepted an offer and been promoted to oversee The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. James has been with us at the South Tower for almost two years and has provided great results for the building through enhancing our community feel and helping us get prepared for some large capital projects starting this year. We certainly would like James to stay with us, but understand that this is the next step for him in his career and would like to wish him the best in his future endeavors. James will be officially starting his new position on July 1st, 2016. With that being said, the Board and The Ritz-Carlton are quickly beginning the interview process for new candidates to fill the Director position. Both the Board of Managers and James have provided criteria to The Ritz-Carlton Human Resources team for traits that they feel a successful Director should have for this property. Due to the capital projects beginning this July, prior project management experience is clearly a must. The goal for the Board and for Ritz-Carlton is to have a new Director beginning August 1st, if not sooner, in order for there to be a smooth transition and leadership in place for the elevator modernization project. Until the Director position has been filled, Residents should continue working with the Concierge Team, Residences Liaison, and Residences Manager for any questions or concerns that they may have. Hotel General Manager, Tim Terceira, will also be providing oversight and staying involved in the upcoming projects we have scheduled to ensure operations continue to run as they should. We look forward to seeing all Unit Owners at the upcoming Annual Meeting on June 7th to answer any questions that they may have regarding this matter or any other topics that are to be discussed.
